Employee Communications Manager
Can you bring creativity and strategic thinking to a key role in our Group Employee Communications team? We’re looking for someone with business partnering skills and a flair for writing and editorial planning to join our Farnborough-based team as Employee Communications Manager.
In this role, you’ll work with stakeholders from around the BAE Systems Group to develop and deliver a multimedia content and channel plan for employee audiences, in direct support of the company’s strategic priorities. You’ll be a storyteller – shining a light on the work we do for our customers, our technology and innovation and our employees’ fantastic achievements. Motivated by continuous improvement, you will evolve our channels, content and measurement to engage colleagues in the UK and around the world.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing employee communications content and message planning, in support of Company and Communications strategic goals, co-ordinating across our channels
Creating engaging, accurate multi-media campaigns and content and supporting others to do the same
Working closely with Communications and business colleagues to develop content that’s effective for multiple audiences and channels where appropriate, always ensuring consistency and alignment across plans and campaigns.
Working closely with the Employee Communications Digital Manager to align channel development, implementation and measurement
Developing and executing a plan to maximise employee engagement in our Community Investment activity across the UK.
Supporting the Head Office community to ensure relevant and timely communication and engagement with this audience
Leading on specific communication programmes and/or key relationships as required, flexing to support team priorities
Daily management and delivery of key employee communications content and channels including, but not limited to: global news on intranet; Head Office intranet; podcast; listening forums; Team Briefs; and Head Office e-newsletter.
Your skills and qualifications:
Proven writing and editorial skills
Proven experience developing multi-media campaigns to engage audiences
Experience of working in a complex global organisation beneficial
Experience with social media as a communication tool would be desirable
Experience with creating content using Photoshop, Sharepoint or equivalents also desirable
