Dell is currently seeking an Executive Communications Consultant to lead external and internal programs in support of the President of Dell EMC EMEA Enterprise business. Working with the EMEA Director of Corporate Communications, this role has 360-degree responsibility for the overall communications strategy, counsel and deliverables related to executive visibility through speaker engagements, team member communications, sales communications and external thought leadership messaging and platforms, including social media.

This role will be responsible for partnering with teams across the company to drive consistency in message and process with regard to the President’s platform and priority initiatives.  The successful candidate will develop the communications strategy and content collaboratively with other functional leaders such as EMEA Marketing and Analyst Relations leads. The President’s communications vehicles and platforms will include keynotes, blogs, videos, media opportunities, analyst briefings, internal channels and social/digital platforms.

The successful candidate will have both internal and external communications experience, extensive executive communications experience, strong writing skills, excellent organisational skills, strategic planning ability, extensive enterprise IT experience, and broad knowledge of the IT industry overall. An experience of reaching a C-suite customer audience and an in-depth knowledge of infrastructure solutions would be an added bonus.

Prior experience in B2B communications is highly desirable.  Experience working with all levels of executives is a requirement. Understanding of top-tier press, analysts and/or influencers who cover enterprise computing topics is necessary. This individual should be seasoned in partnering well with senior business leaders and communications colleagues to drive and enhance business results. The successful candidate must be highly organised, resourceful, strategic and a creative thinker and demonstrate subject matter expertise. They must show the ability to maintain and build effective relationships with team members across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall Executive Communications for the President of Dell EMC EMEA for Enterprise
  • Create and manage both internal (team member; sales) and external (PR/AR/Social/Digital) programs in support of Dell EMC’s President, focusing on key customer thought leadership platforms, internal imperatives including the corporate culture code and team member communications, cross-business initiatives and where appropriate product/solutions awareness.
  • Own development of priority narratives/messaging to ensure effective internal/external storytelling.
  • Partner with EMEA communications colleagues to proactively communicate relevant news to the press and analyst communities.
  • Work with EMEA Corporate Communications and other communications functions as necessary to develop proactive and reactive communications plans, including internal/external speaking points and media statements.
  • Provide communications support for the President of Dell EMC for Enterprise at company and industry events.
  • Clearly communicate Dell’s competitive positioning and value propositions.
  • Determine areas of integration with other corporate initiatives/BUs/campaigns/launches and integrate messaging as appropriate.
