The role is responsible for corporate, product and employee communications for Norgine.

The person will report to the COO of Norgine and will work closely with the Executive Team providing external and internal communications counsel and supporting implementation of communications strategies and activities. The Global Communications Director supports the Executive Team meetings to provide counsel and continue to shape the company’s communications strategy and deliverables as required.



Drive and execute Norgine’s European communications strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives

Provide external and internal communications counsel and ensure full operational delivery with a focus on external relations and employee engagement

Provide advice and counsel to the Executive Team to prioritise and maximise the impact of communications which support Norgine’s strategic agenda and reputation, both internally and externally

Ability to review the functional corporate communications’ structure, leverage and / or acquire new capabilities to ensure business objectives and all elements of corporate communication are integrated.


Responsible for managing Norgine corporate brand, narrative and messages for both internal and external audiences to ensure better understanding of Norgine’s strategy and its progress and capabilities

Responsible for developing and driving global corporate proactive and reactive media strategies and interacting with media on a daily basis, globally

Establish communications approach to crisis and issues preparedness

Oversee all employee communications for Europe and Australia ensuring awareness and understanding of Norgine’s priorities and opportunities

Provide advice and counsel to Executive Team on issues/decisions that could impact Norgine’s reputation

Ensure global alignment through effective communications protocols and guidance within Norgine

Manage the corporate communications budget, continuously seeking ways of increasing value for money.


Ensure compliance with all Norgine governance elements

Lead Norgine’s digital governance committee

Key member of the Norgine’s government affairs committee

Contribute to the development of key communication guidelines and SOPs as required.

People management:

Manage one Global Corporate Communication Manager and one Corporate Communications Coordinator. The team is supported by the Global Legal and Communications Executive who manages various administrative matters

Define accountabilities and activities across Corporate Communication staff with appropriate level of resourcing needed – including securing external third party support

Ensure performance and talent management.


Significant experience within corporate communications, ideally for a biotech, pharmaceutical or life science company

Demonstrated experience in media relations, issues management and internal communications; knowledge of healthcare and industry media and reporting trends

Ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders

Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of the business’ various types of content

Multilingual in two or more languages is a plus (German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc.)

Experienced in navigating company transformations

Demonstrable people management experience

Able to work under pressure with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive, helpful attitude

Strong project and time management skills to meet deadlines

Ability to retain and manage confidential information effectively

Other Requirements

Occasional travel in Europe
